The Concerting films
The three 30-second films show Concerting in use: discovering music, making a bedtime Mix, and using Full with Practice tools. The 84-second introduction brings them together. Footage and sound are captured from the app, edited and resized for this website; the music is performed by Concerting.
Music
The discovery film uses Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K.550, first movement; the bedtime film uses Pachelbel’s Canon in D in a flute-quartet arrangement. These editions are recorded as CC0 in Concerting’s provenance and were obtained through the PDMX dataset by Long, Novack, Berg-Kirkpatrick and McAuley, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. Source material has been adapted for playback.
The Practice film uses Grieg’s String Quartet No. 1, Op. 27, second movement, from the OpenScore String Quartets collection, released under CC0. The comparison screenshots show Schumann’s Träumerei from Kinderszenen, using a public-domain edition from The Mutopia Project.
The six listening previews are performed by Concerting with each piece’s original scoring in the app. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3 uses the Hauptstimme edition by Mark Gotham and contributors (CC0); Chopin’s Raindrop Prelude uses a public-domain edition from The Mutopia Project. The Mozart, Debussy, Beethoven and Vivaldi arrangements come through PDMX: the individual editions are CC0 or public domain. The excerpts are trimmed, level-adjusted and gently faded. Their scrolling note bars use Concerting’s own notation renderer and the matching score data.
The musical rest shapes in the note bars are adapted from Noto Music by The Noto Project Authors, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Recordings
Some instrument recordings are adapted from tonejs-instruments by Nicholas Brosowsky, licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0. Recordings have been edited for playback within Concerting. Other recordings used in these films and listening previews come from CC0 libraries including VSCO 2 Community Edition, Versilian Community Sample Library and Karoryfer, and the University of Iowa recordings offered for unrestricted use.
Images & design
The Concerting emblem is the project’s approved artwork. The player, library, instrument picker and Full/Practice comparisons are actual app captures. The brass installation and piano study are original AI-generated editorial images created for this website; they are not app screenshots.
