Concerting has no account, advertising, analytics or tracking. This policy explains what the Concerting mobile apps keep, when information can leave your device, and how to contact us.

This policy covers the installed Concerting mobile apps. Website visits and messages you send us are covered separately by our website and support privacy notice. Website privacy

Who makes Concerting?

Concerting is made by Complexing Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17491726. Our registered office is 30 Poundgate Lane, Coventry, England, CV4 8HJ.

Complexing Ltd is responsible for the personal information it handles, such as support correspondence. The app does not send us your listening history, Mixes or imported music.

What stays on your device

The app keeps settings, Mixes and listening preferences in its local storage. If you import a music file under My Music, it keeps the converted notes and related details such as the title, composer and file name. The original file is not kept as a backup.

Music scores, notation, fonts and instrument recordings for the built-in library are included in the installed app. They do not need to be downloaded as you listen. No microphone recording, advertising identifiers, analytics or automatic crash-reporting service is used by Concerting.

Device backups and moving devices

Your operating system may copy app data into a device backup or transfer it to another device, under your Apple or Google account and device settings. Complexing cannot access those backups.

Android cloud backup includes settings and Mixes but excludes My Music. Direct device transfer on Android 12 and later can include My Music. Apple backups and transfers are governed by the device’s settings. Whether data is backed up or restored depends on the system and its limits.

Keep your original imported files and export important Mixes separately. Concerting has no account-based sync service, and restoring a purchase does not restore your saved music.

Purchases and store services

Apple or Google handles purchases and payment information. Concerting asks the store which unlocks the current store account owns and what prices to display. These checks, purchases and Restore use store services and may use the internet. Previously checked ownership is kept locally for offline use.

Complexing does not receive your payment-card details. We receive store sales and financial reports for accounting, tax and managing the app. Apple and Google handle store accounts, payments and their own service records under their privacy policies.

Sharing a Mix

Sharing or exporting creates a .ccmix file containing its name, built-in piece references, instrument choices and speeds. It excludes imported My Music pieces and contains no scores, samples or audio. A name you give a Mix may itself contain personal information.

You choose the destination in your device’s sharing or file controls. That service handles the file under its own terms. The recipient keeps a separate copy; Complexing does not relay or store it.

Your device and external links

When system media controls are enabled, Concerting supplies playback information such as the piece title and composer to your device so it can show controls on the lock screen and connected devices.

Opening a support, privacy or credits link takes you to a website. That site receives the information normally needed for a web request, under its own privacy notice. No website is opened simply because you listen to a piece.

Keeping and removing information

Local information remains on your device until you remove it or the app’s data is deleted. Remove individual Mixes and imported pieces inside Concerting, or delete the app and its data through your device settings. On iPhone, offloading is different from deleting and can retain app data.

Removing local data does not remove copies in previous backups, exported files or files already shared with someone else. Manage those through the relevant device or service. Purchases remain associated with the store account.

Your device’s app storage protections help protect local information. Keep your device and operating system up to date. We do not operate a server holding your Mixes or imported music.

Questions and your rights

Contact us if you have a privacy question. Where Complexing holds personal information about you, such as correspondence, you may have rights to access it, correct it, request deletion or restriction, object to processing, or receive a portable copy where applicable. Our website and support notice explains that processing.

You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not need to create or delete a Concerting account: the app has none.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if the app’s handling of information changes. The date above identifies this version. We will explain a material change before using information for a new purpose that requires notice or consent.
